File Sharing Capabilities
The strength of TheFilingRoom.Com is its folder and file sharing capability.
The system allows the administrator to set up rights for users to access specific folders and files.
Within an organization, departments such as accounts payable, accounts receivable and
human resources can set up different levels of access. The company can allow access to
shared folders and files for their CPAs, bankers, investors and employees and others.
If a company has several locations or regional managers access can be given to particular
folders and files can be given so they may view them remotely.

File Integrity
A power feature that is built into the system ensures that the administrator of the account
or the author of the file is the only ones that can alter or delete the original file.
When a new file is uploaded to the system it does not over write the old file, even if it
has the same name.
Each file is date and time stamped so chronological order is maintained. This allows
for tracking “versions” of the file. The un-needed versions can later be deleted.
The administrator or the author of the file is the only one that can delete the original
file. The original files integrity is therefore maintained.
E-mail Notification
TheFilingRoom.Com has a power feature called email notification.
A folder can be “set” so that when a file is uploaded to this particular folder
an email is sent to specified users and guests to the system that this file is available for viewing.
A link is attached to the email so that the person receiving the email can click on
this link and it will automatically take them into TheFilingRoom.Com to the folder
that contains the new file.
Rather than sending files via email, only a notification is sent thereby
eliminating the possibility of the file being viewed by unwanted eyes.
This provides a new and powerful way to manage correspondence.
Search Capability
Another power feature of TheFilingRoom.Com is the search capability.
A user can enter key words in a search field and the system will search the
folders and file names for these key words.
The system will return all matches within the system whether the keywords are
in the folder name, file name or in the description field.
Group Users
The Group User ID power feature allows you to include or be included in another company's account.
This feature allows you to have access to many companies without the need for a different User
ID for each account.
To see the companies that you are included in, you can go to the Group Menu screen and see
a listing of all the companies that your are included in.
Clicking on the icon next to the company will automatically log you into their system.
This works both ways; you can include others that have accounts with TheFilingRoom.Com as a
user in your system.
